The Band consists of men and women that visit eight different Nursing Centers each month. The Band is known to be ambassadors of Hawthorne at Leesburg. They are strictly volunteers that entertain nursing centers by dancing, singing, performing skits, jokes and playing songs of yesteryear.
The Band consists of a piano player to keep the band in tune, a drummer, tambourines and the rest of the band is strictly kazoos that play the melody. The band plays songs with instruments that make a joyful noise that can usually be found in the kitchen and leaves smiles everywhere they go. The members make all of the instruments. Some of the instruments will bring smiles as you relate them to your kitchen.
