Chair Yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair or standing using a chair for support. It improves balance and flexibility; builds muscle strength and confidence; and it increases range of motion and core strength. It is suited for all fitness levels. No special equipment is required but as you build strength, you may want to eventually use light hand weights when we do a strength training segment. Beginners are cautioned not to use weights at first. Dress in comfortable, non-restrictive clothing and new yogis are always welcome! We meet three times a week in the Lemon/Lime Room – Mondays and Fridays at 9:00 am and Wednesdays at 1:00 pm.
