Woodcarving is the fun, creative craft, or skill of carving wood to make functional or artistic objects. And it doesn’t require a fancy studio or equipment and is enjoyed by both men and women. All you need is a piece of wood and a sharp knife.
The Woodcarvers Club at Hawthorne is open to all skill levels from beginner to advanced. We all work together sharing tips and ideas and instruction is available as needed. The Club has simple knives and projects available to help you get started. We meet Wednesday afternoons from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the clubhouse Craft Room.
