Residents of Hawthorne have their own 10-pin mixed bowling league comprised of four people per team. This league bowls each Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the AMF Bowling Center in Leesburg and runs from mid-September until mid-April. Time is taken off, however, in December for the Christmas and New Year holiday period.
This league has proven to be an excellent way for residents to expand their circle of Hawthorne friends. New bowlers are always welcome – either as team members or substitutes. No previous bowling experience is necessary since enjoyment and fellowship are the main objectives.
